Colorado Vacation - 2004

Day 5 -  Another Short (1/2) Day Trip

Monday, August 30th

Cascade Falls, St. Elmo Ghost Town, Leadville

Page 1

Monday we decided to run up to the little ghost town of St. Elmo. Even though we have been there more times than we can count, this trip never gets old. St. Elmo is considered to be the best preserved ghost town in the Rockies. One trip, and you will understand why. The number of original buildings and the feel of the entire site will transport you back in time. The Town Hall and two other buildings were destroyed by fire in April of 2002. They are now trying to raise funds to rebuild the hall.

Also went to Leadville for lunch, sightseeing and shopping. Didn't take pictures in Leadville, we already have some from previous visits.
